Arc Rug Checker: Free Rug Check for Tokens on Circle's USDC Chain
Paste a 0x contract address and DeFade rug checks it on Arc: contract permissions and taxes, who holds the liquidity, what the deployer did with their previous tokens, who bought in the launch transaction, and whether the top holders are one wallet wearing twenty addresses. One rug risk score from 0 to 100, the evidence underneath, 3 free scans a day with a free account.
Rug check an Arc token →What makes Arc different
Arc is the Layer 1 Circle built for stablecoin finance. Its gas token is USDC, so a wallet's balance, a launch buy and a pool's depth are all already in dollars, and memecoin pools quote in USDC rather than in a coin whose own price moves. The contracts are ordinary EVM contracts, so the checks DeFade runs on Ethereum and Base apply unchanged.
What is new is how young everything is, and how tokens launch. The public mainnet opened on 16 September 2026 with Uniswap v4 as the day-one venue. Some launchpads open a v4 pool and trade into it in the creation transaction, so the launch block is the market. Others, such as Warp and the Pons forks Foci and Parabolic, sell the token on a USDC bonding curve until it graduates to a pool. DeFade reads both: the launch transaction or the curve is where it anchors its bundle and sniper reads, and a graduation is not mistaken for a bundle.
What the Arc rug check inspects
| Check | What it reads on Arc | Weight |
|---|---|---|
| Contract permissions | Owner functions still live, mintability, blacklist and trading toggles, buy and sell tax settings, whether the contract sits behind an upgradable proxy. | High |
| Deployer history | Every earlier token from the deployer wallet on Arc and how it ended. | High |
| Launch bundles | Wallets that bought in the launch transaction or the blocks right after it, and whether they share a funder. Spend is read in USDC. | High |
| Insider clusters | Top holders traced through funding hops to a common origin. USDC that arrived over Circle's CCTP or Gateway is labelled as bridged rather than counted as a private funder. | High |
| Liquidity | Pool depth on the main Uniswap pool, who holds the position, and lock or burn status. | Medium |
| Holder concentration | Top-10 and top-20 supply share with known contract and custodial wallets removed. | Medium |
| Snipers | Launch-transaction buyers and their link to the deployer. | Medium |
Every module that raises the score is listed with what it found. Read the finding, not the number.
Two modules wait for the chain to age. Fresh Wallet Detection and the Smart Money Tracker switch on for Arc on 16 October 2026, thirty days after the public launch. Before that every wallet is new and no holder has a trade history, so their answers would flag everyone; until then the cards say when they switch on.
How to rug check an Arc token
- Copy the contract address from explorer.arc.io, DexScreener or the project page. Confirm it is the token contract, not the pool.
- Paste it into the DeFade scanner with Arc selected. The same 0x address can exist on several chains, so the chain tab decides.
- Read the permissions first. Live owner functions plus an unlocked pool is the fastest no.
- Open the deployer history. On a chain this young a deployer with several dead tokens already is telling you what happens next.
- Check bundles and insider clusters together. Gas costs a fraction of a cent on Arc, so a "community" that is one funder is cheap to build.
What this rug checker does not do
DeFade does not audit source code line by line and does not simulate a sell to prove a honeypot. It reads on-chain state and wallet behaviour. Use it alongside a contract scanner if you want both layers; the Ethereum rug pull guide explains which questions each kind of tool can answer.
This page is about Arc. The Ethereum & Base rug checker covers the other EVM chains (Ethereum, Base, BSC, Robinhood and Hyperliquid), Solana has its own page, and the rug pull checker page explains the four kinds of rug the score is built around.
Frequently asked questions
- What is different about rug checking on Arc?
- Arc's gas token is USDC, so every balance, launch buy and liquidity figure is already in dollars, and pools quote in USDC rather than in a volatile coin. The contracts are ordinary EVM contracts, so the permission, deployer and holder checks work the same way as on Ethereum and Base.
- When do Fresh Wallets and Smart Money run on Arc?
- From 16 October 2026, thirty days after Arc's public mainnet opened. In a chain's first weeks every wallet is new and no holder has a trade history to score, so both modules wait. The other modules ran from day one.
- Can it detect honeypots?
- It reads the permissions that honeypots rely on: blacklists, sell taxes, trading toggles and upgradable proxies. It does not simulate a sell, so a contract that hides its trap behind logic the chain state does not expose can still pass. Treat a clean permission check as necessary, not sufficient.
- Is the Arc rug check free?
- Yes. A free account gets 3 full scans a day, no card or wallet needed, on Arc, Ethereum, Base, BSC, Robinhood, Hyperliquid and Solana. Pro removes the cap and unlocks the deeper wallet modules.
